Day 94: What would you have done?

You see a backpack at a light rail station, with no owner in site. When you look inside you discover money, lots of money, $3,300 to be exact. Dave Tally of Tempy, Arizona could have quietly walked away with his find, and since he was homeless, living in a shelter, who would have really blamed him? But keeping the cash, Tally explained, “just didn’t feel right.” Instead, Dave made a decision.   He tracked down the owner, a college student who saved the money to buy a car, and returned the cash.

Dave’s story was aired on ABC news last year:

Since a homeless man’s act of courage attracted the attention of the local paper and television media, Dave’s life has taken a dramatic turn. Read how Dave has used the generosity of others to continue to give back.
