Everyday courage can be found in the small things in life– sticking up for a friend, standing up for your convictions, or taking the time to help someone in need. Then there are the events that muster the courage of a community. The interesting thing is, courage comes from the same place, the desire to help someone who is suffering.
This fantastic video shows how boat captains of all types stepped up to help during the confusion of 9/11 without a moment of concern for themselves. As survivors pored out of buildings and down the streets of Manhattan, this rag-tag group of boaters simultaneously joined forces to rescue 500,000 people from the seawalls in just nine hours.
The Great Boat Lift of 9/11 shows the courage that is tucked inside us all.
this is truly wonderful.
